The National Museum of the Philippines (NMP) will open its regional site in Dumaguete City on Sunday, Nov. 27.

The Old Presidencia, built in 1937 by the renowned prewar architect Juan Arellano, will house the new branch of the National Museum.

Through the help of the national and local government units, the museum was restored according to Arellano’s original 1936 plan.

Exhibitions will be presented in NMP Dumaguete and will feature artifacts, relics, antique collections, documents, natural history, and architectural arts of Negros Oriental and the region. – gb
