NBI clearance fee set to increase in March

DAGUPAN CITY — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Dagupan has announced that starting March this year, charges for the NBI clearance are set to slightly increase by PHP15.

Previously, applicants paid PHP115 for NBI clearance but beginning March 12, it will increase to PHP130, according to Rizaldy Jaymalin, officer-in-charge of NBI-Dagupan.

Jaymalin explained that the increase was due to the increase of the documentary stamp tax as provided for in Republic Act 10963, otherwise known as the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, and Revenue Regulations No. 4-2018 issued by the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

To reduce the long queues of walk-in applicants, Jaymalin advised applicants to try the online registration system by simply logging in to clearance.nbi.gov.ph to verify data, payment of services, and fill out the required application form.
