NCRPO gears up for school opening

MANILA — The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is transitioning its alert status from the recently-concluded election period to preparing for the re-opening of classes in June.

In a statement Monday, the NCRPO said it is presently getting ready for “Balik-Eskwela” security measures by coordinating with academe officials to ensure the safety of the students and school premises during the opening of classes.

NCRPO chief Director Camilo Cascolan said his office will continue to intensify the anti-criminality campaigns that the NCRPO has implemented adding that police officers in Metro Manila will remain in full alert status.

Cascolan directed all district directors, chiefs of police, station commanders and field commanders to strengthen the implementation of enhanced management police operations, war against illegal drugs, and other crime interventions and solutions.

“We have so much to look into with our security measures as we commit to maintain peace order in our region. As we conclude the Election Period, we are also welcoming different challenges and commitments in policing. We will continue to strengthen the implementation of internal cleansing; Security measures including target hardening, border control, social investigation, community partnership and deployment of resources; information operations; red teaming operations; contingency planning; simulation exercise; offensive stance; and feedback mechanism,” Cascolan said.

He also encouraged the public to report immediately any relevant information related to security issues and concern to the nearest police or through NCRPO hotline 838-3203 or Isumbong mo kay PICOY Text Hotline 0995-0018-886.

Cascolan is also set to meet the newly-elected barangay officials to renew the shared commitment between the NCRPO and the barangay officials of making every barangay in the metropolis safer and drug-free. (PNA)
