NCRPO to boost police visibility to enforce MM’s uniform curfew

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) will deploy more than 9,000 police officers in Metro Manila to assist in the implementation of the uniform curfew from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

According to Philippine National Police (PNP) Officer-in-Charge Police Lieutenant General Guillermo Eleazar, red teams will be dispersed to monitor the operation of the deployed police.

The red teams are composed of the PNP-Highway Patrol Group (HPG) and the Reactionary Standby Support Force. Aside from this, over 300 checkpoints will be designated in strategic areas in Metro Manila.

Police visibility will also be intensified in the region to closely monitor compliance with minimum health protocols and help prevent the further spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
