Nearly half a million worth of shabu seized by Police

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) was nabbed by authorities during an anti-illegal drugs operations on Wednesday night (January 13) in Malabon City.

PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON, PRO3 Regional Director said that joint operatives of Provincial Intelligence Unit of Bulacan PPO, San Miguel MPS and Malabon CPS conducted buy bust operation at Pampano Street, Barangay Longos, Malabon City against “Alias NOIME” who was later identified as Noemie Esquerra y Miranda, 31 years old, single, OFW and residing at Barangay Longos, Malabon City.

Seized from the possession of ESQUERRA were the following: 12 pcs of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu placed inside a color black coin purse with an estimated weight of more or less fifty (50) grams with DDB value of Php 425,000 thousand pesos, Php1000 bill marked money and another Php1000 bill.

Further investigation revealed that the operation stemmed from reports by San Miguel MPS thru their arrested drug personalities in the dawn of January 13, 2021, namely Marlon Matias and Maricar Marcelino that a certain “alyas Noel Esquerra/ Noime” is the source of illegal drugs in San Miguel and nearby towns of Bulacan. Appropriate charges for violation of Section 5 and 11 of RA 9165 are being prepared against the suspect.

PBGEN DE LEON also said that the police are continuously maximizing their efforts to stop the proliferation of illegal drugs and prevent the destruction of many lives.
