NEDA acknowledges importance of youth in economy’s recovery

National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Acting Secretary Karl Chua acknowledged the importance of the youth in the economy’s recovery.

The family activities of 44% of the youth aged 20 below largely contribute to the recovery of various sectors. However, since minors are not allowed to go out due to the health protocols, the recovery of the economy is affected by the low demand. Until the youth and their families fully contribute to the economic activities, 5% of the sales and demand will not recover.

NEDA Acting Sec. Chua reiterates the importance of the trust or confidence of the consumers as well as the response to hunger, poverty, and unemployment in the safe easing of the quarantine measures. – Report from Naomi Tiburcio
