Netherlands sets up finals rematch vs. Serbia

BOCAUE, Bulacan — It’s Serbia versus Netherlands in the men’s final of the FIBA 3×3 World Cup again.

The Netherlands booked the other seat in the championship game after knocking out Slovenia, 21-16, at the Philippine Arena here on Tuesday.

The Dutchmen bucked early foul trouble and found their stroke down the stretch as a rematch of last year’s final ensued later Tuesday.

The Netherlands got itself already at the six-team-foul limit early on as Slovenia got into an early 6-3 lead.

However, the Dutch team showed its experience down the stretch, going on a huge run that was capped by a pull-up from Aron Roije for the knockout. (Ivan Stewart Saldajeno/PNA)
