New tourism bike trail to be introduced in Pangasinan

SAN FABIAN, Pangasinan — A new bike trail will be formally introduced to enthusiasts in Pangasinan on October 21 by Fourth Dist. Rep. Christopher de Venecia to promote tourism in the town.

The activity will follow shortly after the unveiling of the winning logo of the San Fabian Bike Trail project at Sitio Tagaytay, Inmalog, San Fabian initiated by De Venecia’s office.

Bikers from all around the province were invited to try out the trail from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.

He said the new bike trail will give an enticing view of the “Tatlong Suso” (three mountains) and the vast expanse of the Lingayen Gulf.

The bike trail features lush greenery along the sides and perfect blue skies and is a certified perfect trail for bikers, he added.

De Venecia initiated the San Fabian Bike Trail Official Logo design contest as the winning entry is intended to be used by the municipal government of San Fabian as directional signs along the bike trail.

The logo contest was endorsed by the municipality of San Fabian led by Mayor Constante Agbayani.

De Venecia said he wants to make tourism a driver of the local economy to enable the people of local communities to improve their living condition.

He seeks to develop existing and potential tourist sites, improve tourism products, and improve facilities and services of tourist establishments.

The bike trail, he said, also seeks to increase tourist arrivals through packaging, and intensive promotions and marketing.

San Fabian, the corridor of Pangasinan from the north, boasts of its beautiful beach, clean rivers and green mountains. (PNA)
