New Year message of Defense Secretary Delfin N. Lorenzana

2020 has been an arduous year for all of us. But together, we survived it because our care and compassion prevailed amidst the chaos around us. Instead of breaking us, the covid pandemic strengthened us as a nation.

As we bid the year 2020 goodbye, let us be thankful for the opportunities that opened up and allowed us to improve and uplift our people’s lives through different sectors of our community: the transport system, health system, telecommunications system, online marketing, telemedicine, online learning, and other innovations.

We, therefore, welcome 2021 full of hope that this will be a better year for everyone. Lastly, I want to thank all the soldiers, airmen, sailors, and marines, who constantly stood guard to protect the nation.

From the One Defense Team: Manigong bagong taon sa ating lahat!

Mabuhay ang Sambayanang Filipino!

Delfin N. Lorenzana

Secretary of National Defense
