Next AFP chief of staff to be chosen amongst 5 candidates

The list of candidates for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief of staff post has already been submitted to Malacañang in preparation for General Benjamin Madrigal Jr.’s upcoming retirement. AFP Spokesperson Brigadier General Edgard Arevalo says that there are five possible choices for Madrigal’s replacement and the list includes ‘seasoned three star generals’ whose names are undisclosed as of press time.
