CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga –– Joint operatives of Angeles City Police Drug Enforcement Unit and Criminal Investigation and Detection Team-Angeles City arrested Friday a Nigerian national for selling suspected “shabu” during a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City Friday.

Chief Supt. Amador Corpus, Police Regional Office 3 (Central Luzon) director, identified the suspect as Nigerian national Chinedu Umeanwe, also known as “Brook,” 26, a programmer/website designer, and presently residing at Frontier Apartment in Barangay Malabanias, Angeles City.

Corpus said seized from Umeanwe’s possession were four pieces of small heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing crystalline substance suspected to be shabu; three pieces PHP1000 marked money; one unit Dell laptop, one unit magnetic stripe card reader and 21 pieces VIP cards believed being used in ATM skimming.

Charges for violation of Sec 5 and 11 of RA 9165 were already filed against the suspect while coordination with the Bureau of Immigration (BI) is being done for verification of the suspect’s status as he may be involved in an international syndicate engaged in ATM card fraud. (Ric Sapnu/PNA)
