No item of the 2020 GAA was vetoed – DBM

President Rodrigo Duterte did not reject any provision of the 2020 General Appropriations Act (GAA). The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) explained that there was not a dubious part of the law. There are, however, some projects that need to be given much attention to ice their proper execution. “The 2020 GAA, there is no item that was directly vetoed by the President. Nevertheless, there are certain provisions that are recommended for conditional implementation and general observation just to ensure that their implementation is consistent with existing laws and policies,” informed Director Ryan Lita, DBM.
