Northeast monsoon to bring light rains over northern Luzon Sunday

MANILA — The northeast monsoon affecting northern Luzon will cause light rains over the area, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday morning.

This will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands; and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains over Ilocos, Cordillera and Cagayan Valley.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Meanwhile, PAGASA said easterlies is affecting the eastern sections of central and southern Luzon, and of Visayas and Mindanao.

Moderate to strong winds will prevail over northern and central Luzon. Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
