Northeast monsoon to bring light rains over PH

MANILA — The northeast monsoon affecting the whole archipelago will bring light rains over most parts of the country, the weather bureau said Saturday.

Cloudy skies with light rains will prevail over the Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Bicol, and Eastern Visayas regions and the Surigao provinces, Aurora and Quezon, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, it added.

Meanwhile, strong winds will blow over northern Luzon, Aurora and Quezon.

Coastal waters along these areas will be rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be moderate to strong with moderate to rough seas, PAGASA said.
