
MANILA— The country will generally experience fair weather Monday, state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
In its 24-hour forecast, Pagasa said the northeasterly surface windflow is affecting Luzon. Meanwhile, tropical storm “Jelawat” (local name Caloy) is out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
It was last observed at 2,715 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 69 kilometer per hour (km/h) and is moving east northeast at 20 km/h Monday morning.
Meno Mendoza, Pagasa weather forecaster, said isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms will prevail in the afternoon to evening.
In Metro Manila, the temperature will be at a high of 32 degrees Celsius and a low of 22 degrees; in Metro Cebu, a high of 32 degrees and low of 24 degrees Celsius, and Metro Davao a high of 35 degrees and low of 25 degrees Celsius. (Lily O. Ramos/PNA)
