NTC breaches 100-M mark on SIM card registration

With more than a month left before the deadline, over 100,000,000 subscriber identity module (SIM) cards have been registered in the country.

Based on the National Telecommunications Commission’s (NTC) website update on Wednesday, June 21, at least 100,156,879 SIM cards were registered.

Of this, 6,922,130 are Dito; 45,914,318 are Globe, and 47,320,431 are Smart.

According to NTC, the figures represent 59.61% of the total number of subscribers in the Philippines.

The SIM card registration deadline was extended until July 25, 2023, a 90-day extension from its original April 26 deadline.
