NTF Chairman suggests return of stringent implementation of health protocols

National Task Force against COVID-19 (NTF) Chairman and Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana suggested the return of stringent implementation of health protocols amidst the rise in the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases.

In a public briefing, Sec. Lorenzana pointed out that one of the reasons for the increase of daily COVID-19 cases is the non-compliance with the minimum health standards such as social distancing and wearing of masks, and face shields. He sees the two new COVID-19 variants may affect the number of cases.

Sec. Lorenzana confirmed that they are ready to deploy military personnel whenever needed by the local government units (LGUs) especially in implementing the health protocols to stop the further spread of the virus. – Report from Ryan Lesigues
