Nueva Ecija town 2nd most wanted killed in buy-bust operation

SAN ANTONIO, Nueva Ecija — Anti-drug operatives killed one of the most wanted persons in this province in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sta. Cruz, this town on Friday.

Senior Supt. Eliseo Tanding, Provincial Police Director, identified the fatality as Reynaldo Calison, 42, of Barangay Panabingan and listed as number 2 in the town police’s wanted list.

Tanding said that aside from peddling illegal drugs, Calison was involved in gun-for-hire and robbery hold-up activities operating in this town and in also in the town of Zaragoza as well as nearby provinces of Tarlac and Pangasinan.

Police said that elements of the station’s Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust against Calison but the suspect allegedly fired a cal. 38 revolver, thus the lawmen retaliated.

Recovered from the suspect were six sachets of shabu, the PHP500 marked money and the revolver, police said. (PNA)
