Number of Filipinos employed online doubles

The number of Filipinos employed online has doubled amid the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

A survey by the onlinehiringcompanymonster.com has shown that the number of employed Filipinos online increased by 13 percent from January to March 2020. Majority of the employers are from the travel and retail industry, with the business process outsourcing (BPO) and Information Technology (IT) industries leading the employment list.
