OCD continues PPE distribution, assures transparency as more donations arrive

Around 300,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) have been distributed by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) to frontline workers and hospitals in need.

The recipients of PPEs are based on the list of the Department of Health of hospitals most in need, particularly in Luzon and where PUMs are brought.

As the number of PPEs increases due to donations and those purchased by the government, the OCD assured all of it are being accounted for since EO No. 27 requires donations to be consolidated and recorded at the OCD to ensure transparency and organized distribution.

The OCD also assured all donations immediately reach those in need and do not get delayed due to the help of various government agencies.

Meanwhile, around 200,000 PPEs from China are set to arrive this week which will be added to the 300,000 PPEs distributed by the OCD.

Those who need PPEs can call to inform the OCD for them to be included in their list. – Report from Eunice Samonte
