OCD receives PAHRODF knowledge products

The Office of Civil Defense received various knowledge management (KM) materials from the Philippines Australia Human Resource and Organization Development Facility (PAHRODF) in a handover ceremony held at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza, 6 July 2017.

The handover, which marked the completion of the PAHRODF program, was graced by H.E. Amanda Gorely, Australian Ambassador to the Philippines; Civil Defense Administrator, Usec. Ricardo B Jalad; PAHRODF Director Milalin S Javellana; as well as the heads of the various Philippine government offices who have partnered with PAHRODF.

Ambassador Gorely congratulated PAHRODF and all its partner agencies in the Philippines on the successful development of the knowledge management materials and expressed confidence on the effective application of said items in the effort to improve their services.

Some of the KM materials provided were guidebooks on change management, competency-based recruitment and human resources planning.

NDRRMC Executive Director and Civil Defense Administrator Usec Ricardo B Jalad thanked the facility for its support to the improvement of OCD’s human resources management.

“These institutional support materials will enable OCD to craft and implement better HR policies, programs and services that would lead to the further empowerment of our civil defense workforce,” said Usec Jalad.

PAHRODF is the Australian government’s flagship program for supporting human resource management, organizational development and institutional change in the Philippines. OCD is one of the 22 Philippine partner agencies of the PAHRODF. (OCD-PR)
