OCTA: COVID-19 positivity rate in 5 provinces ‘very high’

Five provinces in the country recorded a “very high” COVID-19 positivity rate, OCTA Research Group reported Monday, July 18.

In a tweet, OCTA Research Fellow and University of the Philippines Professor Dr. Guido David showed data that Aklan’s positivity rate climbed to 35% on July 16 from 10.9% on July 9.

Meanwhile, other provinces that also surpassed the 20% positivity benchmark were Tarlac (27.6%), Pampanga (23.1%), Laguna (22.6%), and Nueva Ecija (21%).
