Oil tanker with P1.5-M worth fuel products hijacked in Quezon

A fuel tanker loaded with 10,000 liters of crude oil and 10,000 liters of unleaded gasoline with an estimated amount of P1.5 million was hijacked in Sariaya, Quezon on Wednesday dawn, June 15.

The truck driver, Eman Dizon Molejon, was heading to  Lucena City from Azora Depot in Brgy. Canstañas, Sariaya, Quezon when the suspects boarded the tanker and pointed a gun before blind folding and tying his hand at the back seat.

According to Molejon, he was able to untie himself when the suspects left him, and was able to seek help from the authorities.

The authorities were able to chase the tanker in Brgy. Manggalang, Bantila, Sariaya, Quezon, where they also nabbed the suspects who tried to escape.

The suspects were identified as Vincent Reyes, Philip Magtangol, an alias “Joli” and an alias “Joey”.  – ag
