Ombudsman suspends 27 BuCor officers over GCTA mess

  1. Twenty-seven Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) officers have been suspended by the Office of the Ombudsman for the questionable release of almost 2000 heinous crime convicts since 2014 contrary to the GCTA Law. The officials are guilty of misconduct, gross neglect of duty and conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service.
