MANILA — The Philippine National Police (PNP) has released PHP6.3-billion for the mid-year bonus of its 195,561 active duty uniformed and non-uniformed personnel.

Brig. Gen. Joselito M. Vera Cruz, PNP Finance Service head, said the mid-year bonus has been credited to the individual ATM payroll accounts of PNP personnel with the Land Bank of the Philippines as of Tuesday (May 21), and is available for debit transactions.

Vera Cruz, however, said that the release of bonus to PNP personnel with pending administrative and criminal cases was deferred.

PNP spokesperson Col. Bernard Banac emphasized that the swift release of mid-year bonus aims to boost the morale of the 195,000-strong PNP force.

“At the same time, this is accorded to the vision of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in support to the PNP to provide their needs and will definitely beneficial to their families,” Banac said.
