Over 600 workers hired through job fair

NOVELETA, Cavite – The local government has facilitated the employment of at least 617 workers in call centers, factories and malls in nearby towns and cities under its monthly job fair program.

Mayor Dino Reyes Chua spearheaded the program to uplift the living condition of his constituents with his battlecry ‘Trabaho mo, Sagot Ko’. ‘Walang Tamad sa Bayan ng Noveleta’.

Novelta Public Employment Service Office(PESO) data showed that most of the job seekers from January to November this year were hired by call centers like Teleperformance, IQor, Alorica and Teletech while others landed at Economic Processing Zone locator-firms as factory workers, and in department storepersonnel in nearby town and cities.

The workers underwent a 7-day training before they were hired, according to PESO

The LGU holds 1st Friday Job Fair every month since January this year.

“Before i joined this jobfair and free training, i have inferiority complex. Im always afraid to fail the interview or exam but because of this project i already got a job with PHP25,000 as my starting salary. Thanks to Mayor Dino Reyes-Chua for this life changing opportunity.” said Emmanuel Martinez, resident of Barangay San Juan 2 Noveleta.

“Sa aking mga kababayan dito po sa Noveleta, Halina po at mag. apply ng trabaho. tutulungan po kayo ng aming tanggapan makahanap ng trabaho (To my townmates here in Noveleta. Come and apply for a job. Our office would help you find a job,” Mayor Dino Chua said in interview with PNA.
