“We are building communities where Filipino families can thrive, live with dignity, security and fresh hope.”

Consistent with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s mandate of ensuring that every Filipino has access to a safe, decent, and affordable home, the DHSUD has doubled down on its promise to deliver socialized housing projects across the archipelago.

This, as Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling inspected the first batch of house and lot units in a subdivision-type settlement that are ready to be turned over to their respective beneficiaries in General Santos City.

In a media release on Tuesday, Secretary Aliling hailed this milestone as part of the government’s relentless efforts to uphold inclusivity in various projects geared towards uplifting the lives of the citizenry.

He said in a statement, “Sa Expanded 4PH may modalities para sa lahat, mula sa working class hanggang sa informal sectors. At hindi lang ang coverage sa beneficiaries ang na-expand natin kundi pati ang mga lugar kung saan tayo may proyekto—mula Luzon, Visayas, at Mindanao.”

The project solidifies DHSUD’s commitment to expand the 4PH Program beyond metropolitan hubs, bringing dignified and secure housing to regional growth centers across the country.

Once completed, the Deca Homes Gensan 2 will have 7,430 units offered under the Pag-IBIG Fund’s subsidized home loan program, providing homeownership within reach of the middle and working class in the region.

Located in Barangay Apopong and spanning across 498,600 square meters, the project includes open spaces, parks, and community facilities to foster organized and livable neighborhoods.

Secretary Aliling concluded in his remarks, “By delivering socialized housing at a subsidized rate, we make homeownership attainable for the working class, from the minimum wage earners and low-income families. This is inclusive growth translated into real homes as envisioned by our President.”
