ZAMBOANGA CITY – Lawmen arrested three persons and seized more than P110,000 worth of illegal drugs in separate anti-drug operations in this city, a top police official reported Wednesday (Dec. 8).

Col. Rexmel Reyes, city police director, identified the arrested suspects as Aldrin John Rubio, 21; Gerome Aleria, 27; and Maisal Sampang, 39.

Reyes said Rubio was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 7) in Barangay Kasanyangan.

Seized from the possession of Rubio were some 11 grams of suspected shabu worth P74,800, and P1,000 marked money consisting of two P500 bills.

Around 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, Aleria was arrested in another anti-drug operation in Barangay Tugbungan, according to Reyes.

He said Aleria yielded some P2,040 worth of suspected shabu, the P200 marked money and drug paraphernalia.

On the same day, undercover policemen also arrested Sampang in a buy-bust operation around 8:12 p.m. in Murga Drive, Barangay Sta. Catalina.

Reyes said recovered from Sampang’s possession were some P34,000 worth of suspected shabu, a coin purse, and the P200 marked money.
