MANILA — The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) on Thursday announced it has established assistance desks for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) concerning their “OFW e-CARD” at the three terminals of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

OWWA Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac said the assistance centers, aimed at helping OFWs regarding their concerns on the e-card, were set up in coordination with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).

“Dear OFW e-Card holders, OWWA and POEA teams are ready to assist you at NAIA,” he said in his Twitter account, @HansLeoCacdac.

The OFW e-Card was launched in November 2018.

It serves as proof of active OWWA membership and provides easy access to welfare services, scholarships, training programs, and social benefits from OWWA.

All Balik-Manggagawa OFWs with active OWWA membership, valid Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) or Exemption Number, and a valid passport are qualified to avail of the card for free.

The e-card may also serve as valid government ID. It also allows instant verification of OWWA membership and reduces documentary requirements.
