P130-K ‘shabu’ seized from pusher, cohort in General Trias

GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite – City police drug enforcers seized some PHP 130,000 worth of suspected “shabu” from a drug pusher and his cohort during a buy-bust operation Monday evening in Barangay Pasong Kawayan 1 here.

Supt. Paul Bometivo, city chief of police, identified the drug suspects as Jerwin Zamora alias “Apoy”, a street level target (SLT) drug personality and former “Oplan Tokhang” drug surrenderer, and his companion Rojim Javier, both Pasong Kawayan 1 residents.

Bometivo said the police conducted their drug bust operation around 8:30 p.m. Monday and confiscated from the two suspects 16 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected ‘shabu’ weighing around 20 grams; nine PHP100 bills as drug money and a PHP 1,000 peso bill used as buy-bust money.

“Patuloy po nating lalabanan ang kriminalidad at droga sa ating lugar para mas matahimik na pamumuhay ng bawat mamamayan sa General Trias (we will intensify our war on criminality and illegal drugs in our city to attain peace and order in the lives of General Trias residents),” he said.

He said the two drug suspects are now facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 in Article 2 of the Republic Act 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act . (Dennis Abrina/PNA)
