P200-K worth of shabu seized in Butuan buy-bust

A high-value target has been arrested in a buy-bust by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 13 (Caraga) in Butuan City.

In a statement Wednesday (Nov. 17), the PDEA-13 identified the suspect as Rocky Dumanon, alias Carlo Plaza.

The suspect was arrested Tuesday (Nov. 16) at around 8:35 p.m. in Purok 2, Barangay Banza.

Seized was a transparent plastic sachet of shabu weighing around 50 grams with an estimated value of P200,000.

Dumanon has been the subject of surveillance by PDEA and police operatives in the past weeks.

The suspect, now under the custody of PDEA-13, will be charged with the violation of Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA) – bny
