P374K shabu seized from listed pusher in Koronadal

GENERAL SANTOS CITY — Anti-drug operatives recovered around PHP374,000 worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu in a raid late Friday afternoon in Koronadal City village.

Naravy Duquiatan, acting regional director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Region 12, said on Saturday the illegal drugs were seized during a search operation at the house of suspected pusher Gerwin Aguisando Calixton, 39, in Barangay Zone 4, Koronadal City.

Armed with a search warrant, she said their operatives stormed the suspect’s house in Block 1 of Purok Martinez at around 5:45 p.m.

Duquiatan said the search resulted in the recovery of large and medium-sized plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing about 55 grams.

The seized illegal drugs were worth around P374,000 at P6,800 per gram based on Dangerous Drugs Board estimate.

Duquiatan said Calixton is considered a high-value target and subjected to a series of surveillance operations prior to the raid.

“According to reports, his illegal drugs are being sourced out from his friends and he was also (connected) to a supplier who delivers illegal drugs to him on a scheduled basis,” Duquiatan said.

She said Calixton, who is detained at the PDEA-12 lockup here, will be charged with possession of dangerous drugs, under Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Allen Estabillo/PNA)
