P5.1-B worth of shabu seized

A Chinese national, Yuwen Cai, along with two accomplices, Angela and Ma. Lyn Tulio, were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Marilao, Bulacan where over 700 kilos of shabu have been found in cans of biscuit.

Authorities estimated the worth of seized crystal meth at Php 5.1 billion.

According to Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief PGen. Archie Gamboa, there may be other possible links with the arrested individuals.

“Meron kaming link diagram and I cannot divulge anything because may dudugtong pa kasi siyempre. From here you can pick up a lot of personalities and ideas how they do it. And then from there, tatrabahuhin ng kapulisan (We have a link diagram and I cannot divulge anything because there will still be connections. From here you can pick up a lot of personalities and ideas how they do it. And then from there, the police will work it out).”

Authorities believe that the said contraband came from another country judging from the different language seen in the packaging.

The Police Chief disclosed that if the operation failed, the illegal drugs may have reached Visayas and Mindanao.
