PACC files complaint vs. 12 NHA officials over Yolanda housing project

The Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) has recommended to the Ombudsman the filing of charges against 12 officials of the National Housing Authority (NHA) over the PHP 800 million allocated for the housing project for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda in Eastern Samar. The PACC expressed dismay over the past administration as its investigation cast doubts on why the multi-million project was awarded to only one contractor to build more than 2000 housing units which have yet to be completed. Aside from the NHA officials, the contractor may also be held liable. The NHA is waiting for the copy of the official complaint before making a statement.
