Pacquiao, Atienza campaign event begins in GenSan

Presidential candidate and Senator Manny Pacquiao has started his campaign activities as the 90-day campaign season for national candidates officially began today (Feb. 8).

Pacquiao was initially scheduled to join a media briefing before the Team Probinsya Muna Development Initiative’s (PROMDI) caravan kick off in General Santos City this afternoon.

The proclamation rally of Pacquiao and his running mate House Deputy Speaker Lito Atienza will be conducted at the General Santos City Oval Plaza’s oval stadium.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) in the city issued on Feb. 7 the guidelines on the conduct of campaign activities to prevent COVID-19 transmission.

After the events in the city, Pacquiao’s team will move to Sarangani Province on the second day of the campaign period. – Report from Ryan Lesigues/AG
