PAF allots P8-M for Bell 412EP helicopter maintenance

MANILA — The Philippine Air Force (PAF) is allocating PHP8.28 million for the acquisition of services and parts needed for the maintenance of the instrument and electrical systems of its Bell 412EP combat utility helicopter.

Submission and opening of bids is slated for June 7 at the PAF Procurement Center Conference Room in Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.

“The Philippine Air Force reserves the right to reject any and all bids, declare a failure of bidding, or not award the contract at any time prior to contract award in accordance with Section 41 of Republic Act 9184 and its IRR (Implementing Rules and Regulations), without thereby incurring any liability to the affected bidder or bidders,” PAF Bids and Awards Committee chair Brig. Gen. Ferynl Buca said in the bulletin posted at the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System.

The PAF operates eight to 13 Bell 412EPs in its inventory.

The aircraft is capable of carrying 14 passengers and of flying at a maximum speed of 140 knots (about 259 km.), cruise speed of 122 knots (226 km. per hour), and a range of 402 nautical miles (745 km.).
