Amid various threats that seek to undermine the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, the country’s various military assets continue to earn the respect of Filipinos locally and overseas.

This, as the Philippine Air Force (PAF) registered a 65.86% satisfaction rating and a 63.45% trust rating in a non-commissioned survey conducted by Tangere from March-18-21.

These figures represent the sustained trust of the citizenry in government institutions, especially with PAF serving as the provider of air assets that enable the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to fulfill its mandate in the Philippine airspace.

Apart from empowering uniformed personnel in their line of duty, PAF also plays an important role in expediting response during emergencies and disasters.

The PAF said in a statement, “Amid evolving challenges in the West Philippine Sea, the PAF remains as a key force provider—delivering decisive air support, sustained maritime patrols, and credible deterrence through modern capabilities, while also serving as a vital humanitarian lifeline during disasters.

The Philippine Air Force expresses its profound gratitude to the Filipino people for their continued trust and confidence. It likewise recognizes the steadfast guidance of AFP leadership, and the unwavering commitment of its military and civilian personnel and partners.”

Tangere’s poll was conducted on a sample size of 1,500 participants with a margin of error of ± 2.5% at a 95% confidence level using a stratified random sampling method.

The distribution of respondents was spread throughout the Philippines—12% came from Metro Manila, with 23% from Northern Luzon, 22% from Southern Luzon, 20% from Visayas, and 23% from Mindanao.
