PAGASA forecasts rainy Wednesday

MANILA — Rains are in the forecast on Wednesday as the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the easterlies and thunderstorms would continue to prevail over the country.

In its weather bulletin, PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said the easterlies would continue to affect Luzon and Mindanao, while thunderstorms will also prevail over the country.

The thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.

Aurelio said a cloud cluster, which will bring rains over Palawan, is not expected to form into a low-pressure area.

No other weather systems are expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility in the next few days, according to Aurelio.

The seaboards of north Luzon will have slight to moderate coastal waters caused by light to moderate winds, while other seaboards will have slight to moderate coastal waters pushed by light to moderate winds.

The state-run weather bureau also forecasts a temperature range of 17-38°C across the nation until Saturday.

On Tuesday, PAGASA recorded a peak temperature of 33.4°C and a minimum temperature of 25°C at the PAGASA weather station in Quezon City. (Juzel Danganan/PNA)
