MANILA — As part of its 78th anniversary in March, flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced Wednesday a sale seat promo, which would be applicable for booking dates from March 1-10, with travel periods from March 16 to December 31.

“This is our biggest seat sale promo,” PAL executives said at a press conference, adding that travelers can avail of tickets for as low as PHP78 for domestic destinations, and as low as USD78 for international routes.

According to PAL, it has more than two million seats to fill up for its 30 domestic and over 40 international routes.

The carrier recently launched Hanoi, New Delhi and Phnom Penh as new destinations that would all commence this summer.

PAL president Jaime Bautista told reporters on Wednesday that PAL is also expecting a boost in Japan routes, after signing a deal with All Nippon Airways (ANA).

ANA recently acquired 9.5 percent of PAL Holdings, Inc. and will put in an investment of USD95 million.

Earlier, PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna told the Philippine News Agency (PNA) that the two carriers are set to explore a mutual cooperation.

“Both sides will explore areas of mutual cooperation, the details of which will be disclosed at the right time,” she said.

Bautista on Wednesday said PAL is not eyeing another foreign investor yet after ANA.
