PAL postpones New Delhi flights

MANILA — Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has announced the postponement of its New Delhi route until further notice.

PAL is supposed to re-launch the New Delhi route this summer. However, the carrier announced that news about India-Pakistan border tensions prompted travelers to cancel their bookings or postpone travel.

The carrier advises passengers to reroute their tickets to any regional destination, or to apply for refund of the cost of their tickets.

PAL used to offer a New Delhi route from 2011-2013.

PAL president Jaime Bautista, earlier, told the Philippine News Agency (PNA) that they decided to relaunch this flight now that they have “the right aircraft”, the 199-seater Airbus A321neo.

He explained that PAL lost a lot of money back then because it was using a big aircraft but the market was not big enough.
