Palace emphasizes importance of vehicle inspection

Malacañang has emphasized the importance of motorcycles and cars to undergo inspection in Private Motor Vehicle Inspection Centers (PMVIC) to ensure vehicle roadworthiness.

According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, based on the data in 2018, over 116,000 deaths have been recorded due to vehicular accidents and the figure is continuously increasing. One of the reasons seen in these accidents is the lack of vehicle testing before registration.

Malacañang pointed out that authorities must be strict on the issue of roadworthiness because the safety of the public depends on it.
