Palace eyes completion of SAP payout by mid-August

Malacañang is expecting the distribution of the second tranche of Social Amelioration Program (SAP) to be completed by the middle of August as promised by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

“Mahigit kalahati na po ng second tranche ay napamigay. Ang hinihingi lang po ng DSWD, hanggang mid-August para matapos iyong 100% (More than half of the second tranche have been distributed. The DSWD is requesting until mid-August to have it completed 100%),” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque disclosed.

Latest data from the DSWD show that 9,504,870 families have received financial assistance amounting to Php 61.8 billion.
