Palace pleased with new survey result on Ph COVID-19 situation

MalacaƱang has welcomed the result of the new Philippine Survey and Research Center (PSRC) survey on the Philippine COVID-19 situation in which 88 percent of respondents expressed belief the country will overcome the ongoing crisis.

Based on the survey, eight out of 10 Filipinos are confident the current problem will be over in three months or less. It also disclosed the main worries of citizens amid the quarantine period such as lack of money and food, and the loss of livelihood.

The data showed 81 percent are satisfied with the measures of President Rodrigo Duterte in fighting COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the Palace expressed awareness of criticisms on the warning of President Duterte on the possible declaration of martial law.

The President said martial law will be used if the NPA continues to attack troops, especially those monitoring relief distribution),ā€ Roque said.

That is in the Constitution, the President is not taking advantage of anything since his basis is the Constitution),ā€ Roque added. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
