The announcement on the community quarantine classification of the National Capital Region (NCR), Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal has been postponed.

According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is still studying the possible quarantine type to be implemented in Greater Manila Area which is currently under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

“President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is weighing the pros and cons before making his final decision regarding the quarantine classification of the National Capital Region Plus Area,” Sec. Roque said on Saturday.

“The Chief Executive would like to review and check pertinent information such as the Health Care Utilization Rate (HCUR) of the aforesaid area,” he added.

The official assured the decision will be released immediately once it is handed by the President.

The current implementation of ECQ in Greater Manila Area is expected to expire on April 11, Sunday, after it was extended for at least a week on April 5.
