Palace releases appointment papers of new PCOO usec, 11 others

MANILA — Malacañang on Thursday released the appointment papers of 12 new appointees, including broadcast journalist Rocky Ignacio as undersecretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO).

Ignacio was news operations head and senior correspondent of the People’s Television Network prior to her appointment.

Duterte also appointed journalist and newspaper columnist Ramon Tulfo Jr. as his special envoy for public diplomacy to China for a term of six months.

Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Secretary Jesus Dureza, on the other hand, was appointed special envoy to the European Union.

Dureza, also a former journalist, started his tour of duty as special envoy on July 1, 2018 and will end Dec. 31 this year.

Other appointees include: Myra Paz Valderrosa Abubakar as assistant secretary of the Department of Tourism; Nenita Failon and Thea Marie Corrine Palarca as Director IV of Budget and Management; Alberto Mogol as Director II of Office of Civil Defense; and Nelson Manaloto as Director II of Land Transportation Office.

The Palace also released the appointment papers of Lester Oriebia Fiel as Senior State Solicitor; Henry Conel Jr. and Noel Del Rosario Flores as Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial trade and industry officers; and, Joel Remedio Caminade as Board of Trustees, Asian Productivity Organization (APO) Production Unit, Inc.
