Palace thanks Japanese gov’t for the successful repatriation of 445 Filipinos

Malacañang showed gratitude toward the Japanese government for the successful repatriation of 445 Filipino crew members and passengers from the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship in Japan.

According to Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo, the Palace hopes the proper process on the situation of the repatriates and the members of the repatriation team will be executed until the end of the quarantine period.

The government has expressed gratitude towards the Japanese government for the continued aid and care to the Filipinos in their country.

In addition, President Rodrigo Duterte is focused on the steps to fight against COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease 2019).
