Palace urges Pinoys to support Nat’l ICT Summit in Davao

MANILA — Malacañang on Monday enjoined Filipinos to participate in the upcoming National Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Summit 2018 which will take place on June 21 to 22 in Davao City.

With the theme “Empowering the Filipino through Digital Transformation,” the National ICT Summit 2018 is a venue for information sharing, presentation and discussion of programs, initiatives, policies, and innovative solutions.

It will also serve as a venue for the resolution of ICT issues and concerns, with particular emphasis on empowering government ICT executives, managers, and policy makers to fully support and implement the “Build, Build, Build” infrastructure program of the President.

Under memorandum circular no. 45, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea urged all heads of departments, bureaus, and offices including government-owned or controlled corporations and their subsidiaries, government financial institutions, local government units, and state universities and colleges to lend full support to the National ICT Summit 2018.

Meanwhile, ICT executives, chief information officers, technical staff, academics, and key personnel were also authorized to attend the summit and actively participate in the conduct of all its programs and activities.
