Palace urges public to avoid superspreader events amid the opening of malls

The Palace calls on the public to avoid superspreader events following the opening of malls.

“Nananawagan kami sa publiko, sa mga mall owners, binuksan natin ang mga malls sa mga kabataan dahil unang-una, para sa public health benefits nito sa kabataan at para rin sa ekonomiya,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said during a Malacañang public briefing on Monday (Nov. 8).

“Hindi po dahilan ito para maging superspreader iyong ating malling,” he said.

Roque said that it was still important to follow minimum health standards.

He also urged mall owners to safely enforce health protocols.

“Importanteng sumunod tayo sa minimum health standards, at nananawagan kami sa mga mall owners, katungkulan niyo pong ipatupad ang mga minimum health standards,” he said. – bny
