The administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will do its best to give Filipinos a more comfortable life, Malacañang assured the public on Wednesday.

Palace Press Officer and Undersecretary Claire Castro made the vow, as she welcomed the results of the Social Weather Stations’ (SWS) survey conducted from June 25 to 29, which found that 35% of Filipinos believed their lives had improved compared to a year ago.

The number of Filipinos whose quality of life improved, also called “gainers,” rose by one percentage point from the 34% recorded in April 2025, according to SWS’ poll results.

“It is definitely good news. The administration welcomes the result of the survey,” Castro said in a statement.

“And Filipinos can rest assured that their government will continue to work hard to improve the condition and quality of life of every citizen, especially those who need it most.”

Around 42% said their lives remained the same in the past 12 months, while the remaining 23% were classified as “losers” as their lives got worse.

The survey results yielded a Net Gainers Score of “very high” +12, higher than the “high” +5 logged on April 23 to 25 and the “fair” -1 registered on April 11 to 15.

The net rating was also the highest since December 2024’s “very high” +13, according to the SWS.

The seven-point rise in the nationwide Net Gainers score from April 23–28 to June 25–29 was due to increases in all areas except in Balance Luzon, SWS said.

SWS reported the highest Net Gainers score in the Visayas (‘excellent’ +22 from ‘fair’ 0), followed by Mindanao (‘very high’ +16 from ‘fair’ -3), Metro Manila (‘very high’ +10 from ‘fair’ -1), and Balance Luzon (‘high’ +6 from ‘very high’ +12).

Around 1,200 individuals aged 18 and above were interviewed, 300 respondents each in Metro Manila, Balance Luzon (or Luzon outside Metro Manila), the Visayas, and Mindanao.

SWS used sampling error margins of ±3% for national percentages and ±6 percent each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
