Palace vows to pursue Marcoses’ ill-gotten wealth

After the Sandiganbayan junked the more than PhP1-billion case filed by the Presidential Commission on Good Government against the Marcoses and their alleged cronies over riches inappropriately obtained, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo has guaranteed that the government will unceasingly run after said properties. The scrapping off of the case, which is the second one to date, was on the ground of insufficient pieces of evidence presented before the court. Panelo, however, explains that the government did not lose in the legal proceeding. The state, through the Office of the Solicitor General, may still file a motion for reconsideration.
